At Kinetic Bridges, our Elementary program focuses on building strong academic foundations within a structured, supportive environment.

KB Academy is a 5-day private Christian school with a 3-day hybrid learning option. Our 5-day students benefit from teacher instruction and guidance Monday through Friday. Students in our 3-day hybrid option attend seated classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Tuesdays and Thursdays these students learn from home under direct guidance from their guardian. Teachers publish a grid students and guardians follow to know the lessons and assignments for the week ahead.

At KB Academy we focus intently on learning through all modalities (seeing, hearing, doing) to make learning relevant, interesting, engaging and memorable.  Our academic environment has been crafted to captivate students through multi-sensory learning.  Whether your child is on a path to college, a tech school, a two-year college or straight into the work force, KB Academy can assist them in reaching their goals.

Quarterly grade reports and transcripts valid for submission to employers or higher learning institutions are provided to guardians.  Students who graduate from KB Academy obtain a diploma and are invited to attend our graduation festivities.

Educational Beliefs

First and foremost, students’ education must be Biblically true with rich, historically accurate curriculum crafted to align with an environment in which students flourish and advance. Multi-sensory learning facilitated by our culture of relentless optimism, joyful collaboration and creative focus provide our students with a multitude of areas for growth and knowledge gained. Our students benefit from room to breathe and flexible testing methods where we are able to guide them as they choose the way they want to prove their knowledge. While we are not accredited, our curriculum ensures that each child meets the Missouri Learning Standards through a Biblical worldview. We believe education is about inspiring life-long learning, not just completing courses in school. Without rushing their childhoods or usurping their innocence KB Academy students are gently and steadily prepared for life after school.

The absolute BEST thing about school at KB Academy is hearing the laughter of our students filling our classrooms and hallways. Our culture of relentless optimism, joyful collaboration, and creative focus allow our students, teachers and staff to thrive. This culture is an absolute priority.

Academic Modifications

Many students thrive when given access to accommodations and modifications. At KB Academy we intentionally fashion an environment that naturally offers multiple modifications instinctively to all our students. Students who need a bit more than is naturally provided may be provided with an AIM plan. Our AIM specialists consider results of IEP or 504 tests given by a public school or private office to see how KB Academy may be able to provide accommodations and supports for those students. Our concept of Classrooms Without Walls allows students to move up or down ONE grade level in any subject to be sure they are being taught at their optimal level.

If your child needs academic modifications due to learning differences or struggles, KB Academy can assist your child with certain changes. We provide an A.I.M. Plan (Academic Individual Modification Plan) for students who need additional support to thrive in the classroom.

At this time KB Academy is qualified to offer to following minor classroom modifications or things similar to those listed below:

  • Complete work or tests in a different manner
  • Prove knowledge gained in varied ways
  • Modified or alternate projects or assignments
  • Classroom placement to allow proper support and encourage growth
  • Learning assistants: like Calculators, talk-to-text, word banks

** If your child needs a paraprofessional or classroom assistant, we are unable to offer that level of assistance at this time, due to staffing. Due to the variants in the spectrum of learning needs, if you are unsure if KB Academy is able to meet your child’s needs, please call us! We do not discriminate against students and families, but instead feel deeply that it is unethical to accept students who need a level of attention that we are not able to provide at this time.
